McPherson earns AFC Special Teams POTW

Bengals kicker Evan McPherson is off to a positive start to the 2026 season.

McPherson was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week following Cincinnati’s victory over Tampa Bay. He went 4-4 on his field goal tries, which included boots of 58 and 55 yards, and kicked all three extra points. The sixth-year kicker was responsible for 15 of the Bengals’ 33 Week 1 points.

According to the Bengals, McPherson is “the first player in team history to make multiple FGs of 55 or more yards in the same game.”
