CINCINNATI — Shohei Ohtani wasted no time making his presence known in the Queen City during the series opener Monday against the Reds.
Ohtani had the go-ahead double in the fifth inning that plated two runs and put the Los Angeles Dodgers ahead for good. They won 5-2.
Tonight the Reds will start Nick Lodolo, who pitched a complete game shutout on the road against the Washington Nationals last Wednesday.
Lodolo will be countered by Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow. He’ll make his fourth start since returning from right shoulder inflammation that casued him to miss two months on the injured list. Glasnow has 23 strikeouts and three earned runs allowed in 18 innings over three starts since his return July 9.
