The 50-year milestone since the Cincinnati Reds won consecutive World Series championships in 1975-76 is approaching, and the franchise announced details last Wednesday about the Big Red Machine 50th Anniversary Reunion Celebration presented by PNC from June 26-29.

The reunion will bring 23 members of the 1975 and 1976 Cincinnati Reds teams back to the ballpark together. Among them will include Johnny Bench, Tony Perez and Ken Griffey Sr.

The Reds will celebrate over four days and “pay tribute to Cincinnati’s most iconic team and celebrate its enduring legacy with generations of Reds fans,” according to the team.

Bench stated in a release that “we were living in a movie about greatness, grit, friendship, and life—but we were too busy redefining the game to realize it” about the back-to-back title-winning Reds teams 50 years ago.

“The fans back then—and even now, fifty years later—are part of this incredible experience, which is why my teammates and I want to celebrate with them in Cincinnati,” Bench stated.

Joining Bench, Perez and Griffey will include: Jack Billingham, Clay Carroll, Tom Carroll, Darrel Chaney, Terry Crowley, Pat Darcy, Dan Driessen, Rawly Eastwick, Doug Flynn, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, Will McEnaney, Fred Norman, Santo Alcala, Tom Hall, Rich Hinton, Mike Lum, Manny Sarmiento, Don Werner and Joel Youngblood, according to the Reds.
