After the trade deadline passed Tuesday, the Cincinnati Reds announced changes Wednesday to their business operations department.
Reds Principal Owner and Managing Partner Bob Castellini promoted President and Chief Operating Officer Phil Castellini to President and Chief Executive Officer in addition to the promotion of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Doug Healy to Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer effective Thursday.

“These changes in our organization recognize the excellent work being done by Phil and Doug in leading our business,” Bob Castellini stated in a release. “They are in lockstep with Nick’s vision for the Reds baseball model to produce sustainable winning and are committed to advancing all aspects of our operations towards that goal .”
Bob Castellini will retain control and managerial responsibility “over all business and baseball operations,” according to a release.
Phil Castellini, who is the son of Bob Castellini, joined the Reds after the 2005 season and has held roles as Senior Director of Business Operations and Senior Vice President of Business Operations.

Healy was hired in March 2006 as Cincinnati’s Senior Director of Finance before he was promoted to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in December 2006.
Phil Castellini, Healy and President of Baseball Operations Nick Krall will continue to report to Bob Castellini, according to a release.
