Forty-eight of the 54 Futures Game roster spots are made up of players who also represented their clubs in the inaugural Spring Breakout, Major League Baseball announced on Tuesday.

The complete rosters for the 25th edition of the Futures Game comprise 27 players for Adrian Beltre’s American League and Michael Young’s National League teams, and each MLB organization is represented as all player development leagues were eligible to be selected.

The Chicago Cubs, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays are tied with three selections apiece for most in baseball.

According to Jim Callis of MLB.com, there are 39 members of MLB Pipeline’s recently updated Top 100 Prospects list, including nine of the top 20. There are 24 former first round MLB draft picks including No. 2 overall selections Druw Jones in 2022 and Dylan Crews in 2023.

This season’s Futures Game will be held before a Futures Skills Showcase. The eight representative players, four from each team, “will compete in three rounds of a hitting contest, scoring points by hitting targets in the first round (including bunts), displaying their ability to hit to all fields in the second and by driving balls over the fence in the third.”
