Houston Texans trade for Marvin Harrison Jr.

On Monday, Oct. 12, the Houston Texans officially announced they traded for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Harrison will reunite with college teammate C.J. Stroud after the two played together at Ohio State from 2021-23.

Ohio State flashback

This move is a special one.

My final two years at Ohio State from 2021-23 saw both Harrison and Stroud command the football field, connecting for touchdown passes that many of which found their way onto highlight tapes around the country.

Stroud and Harrison’s connection was first on display during the 2022 Rose Bowl against Utah. There, Harrison hauled in three touchdowns in a breakout game, setting him up for a bigger sophomore year that fall.

Now, the quarterback-wide receiver duo will be teammates in the NFL. Houston will play the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday, Oct. 18, for an 8:30 a.m. CT kick at Wembley Stadium in London.
